Abstract: The seat (1), and especially the backrest (2), has a frame (2) which is wholly contained within a shaped plastics body (3). The plastics material has a module of elasticity of at least 500 MPa, according to ISO 527, using a thermoplastic, especially polyamide, polypropylene, polyethylene, styrene copolymer, polycarbonate, polyester, polyacetal or polyurethane, or their blends with or without filling materials. The seat is produced by blow moulding, injection moulding, heat moulding and/or pressing.
