Abstract: Polyester-cellulose mixtures are dyed and printed with disperse and reactive dyestuffs, the disperse of dyestuffs being those which are insol. in water at pH 5-10 and at temps. of up to at least 60 degrees C, pref. up to 90 degrees C. The polyester fibres are dyed with the disperse dyestuffs and the cellulose fibres are dyed with the reactive dyestuffs, bright fast dyeings being obtd. having good wear props.

Abstract: Process for imprinting textiles made from cellulose fibers or cellulose fibers mixed with other fibers employing reactive and/or developing dyes according to the etch-resist process using printing dyes which contain per 1000 parts by weight, 10 to 100 parts by weight of one or more of the following compounds: butyl glycol, butyl diglycol, butyl triglycol, 1,2-butane diol, 2,5-hexane diol, and diethylene glycol monoethylether. This results in essentially complete penetration.

Abstract: An improved process for dyeing or printing water-swellable cellulosic fibers and mixtures of said cellulosic fibers with synthetic fibers by contacting the fibers throughout with a dye liquor or print paste which contains, as essential ingredients, water in an amount sufficient to swell the cellulosic fibers, a water-insoluble disperse dye and a water-soluble solvent for the disperse dye such as polyethylene glycol or boric acid esters of polyethylene glycols, and heating the contacted fibers to fix the dye, the improvement comprising the addition of from 0.5 to 5% by weight, based on the dye liquor or print paste, of a condensate of an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid of from 8 to 20 carbon atoms and a primary or secondary hydroxyalkylamine of up to 6 carbon atoms, which condensate may be ethoxylated with up to 20 moles of ethylene oxide per mole of condensate.

Abstract: Process for printing on synthetic fibers of polyester, triacetate, acetate and polyamide and mixtures of these fibers with dispersion dyes according to the discharge or discharge resist process, where a mixture of the following substances is used as a discharging agent: (a) 5 to 50 parts by weight of a compound having formula (I) in which Me=Na, K, NH4 and alkyl substituted ammonium groups or an ammonium derivative which contains at least one radical derived from an alkali metal or ammonium salt of methane sulfinic acid, (b) 5 to 50 parts by weight of hexamethylene tetramine and (c) 0 to 20 parts by weight of anthraquinone.

Abstract: Polyester, triacetate, acetate or polyamide fibres are printed with dispersion dyes by discharge reserve processes, using as discharging agent a mixt. contg. (a) 5-50 parts ammonia deriv. contg. at least one alkali metal or NH4 methane sulphinate gp., (b) 5-50 parts glucose, and (c) 0-10 parts anthraquinone. The discharging agent is safe to handle and causes no corrosion in the steamer during fixing of the printed fabric as occurs when ZnCl2 or Zn oxymethane sulphinate are used. Pref. 20-120 parts discharging agent are used in 1000 parts printing paste.

Abstract: Dyeing or printing of cellulose fibres or their blends with synthetic fibres, with mixts. contg. (A) a water-insoluble dye, (B) a water-soluble solvent for the dye and swelling agent for the cellulose fibres, (C) water and (D) 0.5-5 wt. % reaction prod. from condensn. of 8-20C aliphatic monocarboxylic acid and 1-6C primary or sec. hydroxyalkyl amine, subsequently reacted with 0.5-6 (1-4) mols. propylene oxide or butylene oxide. Use of (D) instead of similar condensn. prods. reacted with =20 mols ethylene oxide, as claimed in the parent patent, gives a further increase in dye yield and in brilliance and fastness of the shade obtd. Stble dye baths and printing pastes are obtd.
