Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a plant protection agent containing a thiophosphoric acid ester or a benzoylphenylurea derivative as an active substance and a fatty alcohol alkoxylate as an action promoting additive and having improved effect and reliability. CONSTITUTION: This plant protection agent contains a thiophosphoric acid ester (e.g. dimethoate) or a benzoylphenylurea derivative such as a compound of formula I (R and R are each H, Cl or F; R to R are each H or a halogen) as an active substance in an amount effective as an insecticide and >=1wt.% (preferably 0.3-2 times weight based on the active substance) of an active promoting additive selected from a fatty alcohol alkoxylate of formula II (R is an alkyl group of a 10-20C fatty alcohol; EO is ethyleneoxy; PO is propyleneoxy; (x) and (y) are each 2-12; the order of the units EO and PO is arbitrary).
