    Abstract: PURPOSE: To enhance shearing strength and bending strength without increasing mass by reinforcing the flange of a main body within a area turned downwardly while receiving the load to buckling or bending by a plate or a shell and connecting a structure member comprising plastic to the flange by a spacer member. CONSTITUTION: An elongate main body 1 comprising plastic has an opened cross-sectional area contour and the edge part reinforcing part 2 on an open side part is singly or doubly bent and a flange 3 is reinforced by a thin-walled plate or shell 4 within an area turned downwardly while receiving the load to buckling or bending. The plate or shell 4 is connected to a web 6 or connected to the flange 3 of the main body 1 by a spacer member 7. The spacer member 7 is formed by the rib laterally extending with respect to the longitudinal expansion of the main body 1 or a semi-hard foamed layer or a hard foamed layer or a honeycomb-shaped material composite.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve S/N and durability by incorporating specific particulate nonmagnetic metal oxides, lubricants and a comb-shaped block copolymer as a dispersant at restricted ratios into particulate magnetic materials having a specified specific surface area. CONSTITUTION: This magnetic recording carrier contains at least one kind of the particulate nomnagnetic metal oxides having Mohs hardness larger than 5 and the specific surface area based on BET of at least 2m /g at a ratio of 1 to 20wt.% of the weight of at least one kind of particulate magnetic materials having the specific surface area based on BET of at least 25m /g, at least one kind of the lubricants selected from a group consisting of silicone resins, polyethylene wax and metal salts of paraffin, etc., at a ratio of 1 to 10wt.% and the comb-shaped block copolymer consisting of a polyethylene imine chain having a mol.wt. of at least 2000 as a base and having a polyamide and/or polyester side chain having a mol.wt. of at least 500 at a ratio of 1 to 20wt.%. As a result, the S/N and the resistivity to the wear of the layer surface are improved.

CONSTITUTION: The magnetic recording medium is mainly composed of a nonmagnetic carrier material, the polymer binder and the intrinsically ferromagnetic chromium dioxide finely dispersed into the customarily used additives and 0.1 to 8wt.% multiple unsatd. org. compd. monomer is additionally incorporated into the chromium dioxide. The monomer is a monomer having at least three double bonds per molecule, for which one kind of the compd. selected from a group consisting of linolenic acid or oil or oil-fatty acid mixture is used. More specifically, alcohol, acid, ester, diglyceride, 2,4-hexadienic acid, herring oil, sardine oil, etc., are used as the multiple unsatd. org. compd. to accelerate dispersion.
