    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a photoresist and a relief printing plate having a sharp relief structure by incorporating 0.01-6wt.% of N-nitrosodiphenylamine and/or hydroquinone monomethyl ether into a photopolymerizable recording layer and specifying the weight ratio of these. CONSTITUTION: The photopolymerizable recording layer contains the following compds. (b41) and (b42) at least as a photosensitivity controlling agent (b4) by 0.01-6wt.% of the photopolymerizable recording layer. The compd. (b41) is selected from isoalloxazines and/or alloxazines, while the compd. (b42) is potassium salt of N-nitrocyclohexylhydroxylamine, N-nitrodiphenylamine and/or hydroquinone monomethyl ether. The weight ratio (b41):(b42) is specified to 1:2 to 1:1000. Thereby, a photoresist and a relief printing plate having a sharp relief structure can be obtd.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a well-carved printing plate and a relief plate faithful to the original by incorporating specified lecithin as an auxiliary into a photopolymerizable recording layer by 0.1-10wt.% of the amt. of the layer. CONSTITUTION: This recording material has a photopolymerizable recording layer consisting of a binder, a polymn. initiator, a photopolymerizable olefinically unsatd. compd. compatible with the binder and/or photopolymerizable olefinically unsatd. residues bonding to the polymer binder as side chain groups and/or terminal groups and an auxiliary. One or more kinds of lecithins represented by formula I or II are used as the auxiliary by 0.1-10wt.% of the amt. of the recording layer. In the formulae I, II, each of R and R is 11-18C alkyl or 11-18C alkenyl but at least one of them is alkenyl. An especially superior fine relief structure faithful to the original is obtd.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve the adhesiveness of a relief layer to a carrier material and to shorten the exposure time when the printing plate is produced by incorporating a specified partially polymerized aryl glycidyl ether (meta)acrylate or using an intermediate layer formed there form. CONSTITUTION: An intermediate layer is deposited on a carrier, and further a photosensitive relief forming layer formed from the mixture of a polymer binder, photopplymerizable ethylenic unsaturated compd., photopolymerization initiator and thermopolymerization initiator is deposited. At least a partially polymerized compd. shown by formula I is further incorporated. In the formula, R is hydrogen or alkyls having 1-10 carbon atoms, R is hydrogen or methyl, X is -C2 H2 -, -(CH4 -CH2 -O)n -C2 H4 -, -(CHCH3 -CH2 O)n -CHCH3 -CH2 , etc., and (n) is 1 to 8. As a result the adhesiveness of the relief layer is remarkably improved, and the exposure time is drastically shortened when the printing plate is produced.

CONSTITUTION: This process produces the relief printing plate of which the photopolymerized relief layer has the non-tacky adhesive surface by subjecting a photopolymerizable relief forming recording layer (A) contg. (a1 ) at least one kind of acid base-contg. polymer binders, (a2 ) at least one kind of olefiinic unsatd. photopolymerized monomers having compatibility with these binders (a1 ) and (a3 ) at least one kind of photopolymn. initiators to exposure in accordance with the images, washing (developing) the non-exposed (non-photopolymerized) regions of the exposed recording layer (A) with a developer and subjecting the photopolymerized relief layer generated in such a manner to post-processing with the post-processing liquid. The process is constituted to use the basic post-processing soln. in the post-processing stage. The occurrence of the deterioration in the relief layer is prevented by the tacky adhesiveness of the surface of the relief printing plate obtd. in the process by such constitution. An excellent printing effect is obtd. even with an extremely large number of printing sheets.

The polymer binder is a water-soluble copolymer or deriv. of PVA and the unsatd. compd. is a compd. represented by formula I, wherein R is H, 1-10C alkyl or 6-10C aryl, R is H or methyl, X is -(CH2 -CH2 -O)n CH-, -C2 H4 , etc., and (n) is 0-8. The compatibility of the monomer with the polymer binder, water developability and flexibility can be improved.
