Abstract: The invention relates to seed treatment formulations comprising a phenylsemicarbazone of formula (I) wherein R 1 and R 2 are each independently hydrogen, halogen, CN, C 1 -C 4 alkyl, C 1 -C 4 alkoxy, C 1 -C 4 haloalkyl or C 1 -C 4 haloalkoxy and R 3 is C 1 -C 4 alkoxy, C 1 -C 4 haloalkyl or C 1 -C 4 haloalkoxy, or agriculturally acceptable salts thereof. The invention also relates to methods for seed treatment, to the use of phenylsemicarbazones for controlling plant pests, and to seeds treated with phenylsemicarbazones.
