Abstract: The invention relates to solutions of aminotriazine resins, the alkylol groups of which are etherized to at least 30mol % with a C1-C16 alkanol in a mono-C1-C4 alkylglycol of formula (I): R -O-(R -O-)w(R -O-)x(R -O-)y(R -O-)zH, in which R stands for C1-C4 alkyl, R2 for CH2-CH2 and R for (a) and w, x, y, z stand for a whole number from 0 to 10, whereby at least one of the variables w, x, y, z is not equal to 0, or in a solvent mixture consisting to at least 20 wt.% of a mono-C1-C4 alkylglycol of the afore-cited formula.
