Abstract: The invention relates to a method for vulcanizing caoutchouc or latex by adding a mixture M which contains a component a) from a1) 20 to 96 % by weig ht of sulfur, a2) 4 to 80 % by weight of a complexing agent, and optionally oth er additives b) to caoutchouc or latex and then vulcanizing the mixture. The inventive method is characterized in that the average particle size of the primary particles of component a) ranges from 0.05 to 20 ~m.
