Abstract: Clamping pliers are used to manipulate the roller cores and consist of a rotatable clamping piece mounted in a one-piece or multi-part body. Between the head of the clamping piece and the profiled central bore of the roller core a frictional contact can intermittently be made mechanically and removed again by means of a variable diametrical contour of the head. The clamping piece can have an axial bore and several longitudinal stits to form spring segments. The externally conical head of the clamping piece has a diameter greater in the released position than the diameter of the central bore of the roller core.

Abstract: An automatic transfer mechanism allows components on a linear conveyor to be extracted singly and loaded onto a work station on a rotary table. The transfer unit consists of three pairs of arms (3) located equidistant from a central shaft. A component (4) is transferred from the linear conveyor each time the transfer unit rotates through 120 degrees. Each pair of arms has fixed location jaws at the top and a pair of moving jaws at the bottom. In operation the moving faws are closed under the action of a roller follower operating against a cam track. The cam ensures opening only when the component is located directly over the rotary table workstation.

Abstract: Procedure for regulating tension of material in a winding equipment in which a band of material is run between a winding-off roller and a winding-on roller by means of tensioning roller arrangement. The run of the band material between the winding-off and winding-on rollers (8, 3) and the radius (R) of the winding (1) on the winding on roller (3) is continuously measured and the measured values multiplied. The product of the multiplication is fed in a regulator (14) which after comparing the obtained value with a predetermined value is influencing a braking force of a braking equipment (16) on the winding off roller (8). Thereby the torque of the winding (1) on the winding on roller (3) resulting from the product of both measured values is corresponding to the predetermined value.
