Abstract: Title compsn. consisting of (1) 40-60 wt. % polyethylene and (2) 40-60 wt. % polypropylene, which is a mixt. of (a) 70-90 wt. % of a polypropylene of which 1 wt. % is sol. in boiling toluene (at a wt. ratio of polypropylene:toluene of 5:95) and (b) 10-30 wt. % of a polypropylene of which >99 wt. % is sol. in boiling toluene (under same wt. ratio). However (i) the sum of the wt. % of components (1) and (2) as well as (a) and (b) resp. amts. to 100, (ii) the polypropylene under (a) and (b) show approx. the same m.w. distribution (determined by gel-permeation chromatography) (iii) the polyethylene has a density between 0.935 and 0.965g cm-3 and Melt Flow Index (MFI) (DIN 53735 at 230 degrees C and 2.16kg loading) of 4-15g 10 min-1 and (iv) the polypropylene mixt. has a density from 0.895-0.910 g cm-3 and MFI of 4-15g 10 min-1 the absolute values of the MFI of polyethylene (1) and polypropylene mixt. (2) being approx. identical.
