Abstract: The invention relates to a continuous method for producing dyed thermoplasti c moulding materials in an extruder, as follows: I) in a first area, A) 10 to 99.999 wt. % of a thermoplastic polymer is metered in to an extruder. II) In a subsequent area, B) 0.001 to 60 wt. % of a dye is added at a temperature below the particular glass transition temperature of the thermoplastic A). In the subsequent areas, the thermoplastic/dye mixture is heated, the polymer melt is homogenised and the resulting mixture is extruded.
