Abstract: An adhesive contains a polymer comprising 0.1-100 wt.% monomers of formula (I). In (I): R1-R6 = H or 1-18C alkyl; Z = single bond or one of the groups of formulae (a)-(h); R7-R11 = H or 1-10C alkyl; X = 1-20C alkylene, 1-10C alkylene oxide or -O-(CH2)nm; m = 1-50; and n = 1-10. -C(O)-O-X- (a) -C(O)-NR11-X- (c) -O-C(O)-X- (d) -C(O)-NR11- (f) -O-X- (g) -O-CH2-X- (h) Also claimed are: (i) polymers comprising 0.1-100 wt.% (I), with the exception of compounds in which R3 is H and Z is a single bond; and (ii) the use of the polymers in coating materials, impregnating materials or adhesives.
