Abstract: Use of water-soluble homopolymers of di-C1- to C3-alkylaminoneopentyl (meth)acrylates in neutral or quaternary form and/or of water-soluble copolymers which contain at least 5% by weight of copolymerised di-C1- to C3-alkylaminoneopentyl (meth)acrylate in neutral or quaternary form and which each have a K value of 150 to 300, as flocculants for waste waters (effluents) and sludges.
