Abstract: Moulded polyamides prepared from anionic polymerisation of lactams Specially prepared moulds whose surfaces are coated with an acrylic an epoxy or a silicone resin or an ethonified aminoplastic resin can be used for the in-situ polymerisation of lactams. These reins can be used singly or in combination as a coating material for the mould. Polymerisate and cooling are very rapid. Thick moulds are easily produced compared with the thinner weaker castings obtained by injection moulding of polyamides.
