Abstract: Open hollow polyamide articles are produced by activated anionic polymsn. of 7 - 13 membered cyclic lactams in a heated rotating mould which is held at an even temp. of 130 - 210 degrees C the entire operation. 5 - 150 pts. wt. water per 1000 pts. wt. polyamide are introduced into the resulting hollow article one-third to 15 mins. before removal of the moulding from the mould. Process enables thin-walled moulds to be used and shortens the moulding cycle.
