    Abstract: PURPOSE: To sever a web material without any hindrance of a web material piece and on running by making the severance location of a web material brittle in the width direction, and further forming many perforation cuts, for severing cloth or the like, so that it is severed under application of tensile stress. CONSTITUTION: A continuously manufactured sheet-like web 1 material is wound on a winding core 3 through induction rollers 2. When the web 1 is severed for changing the winding core for a new one, just before arrival of the new winding core 3, liquefied gas as a cooling medium for making brittle is jetted through a nozzle 8 to the width direction of the web 1 at the severance location. Lasser ray from a laser ray source 9 is applied to irradiate the severance part position made brittle by being cooled at low temperature, through an optical element 10 for convergence to form perforation cuts. Next by tensile stress of winding, it is severed from the perforation cuts.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To make it possible to detect a measurement signal adapted to an ultraprecise measurement by connecting a connector for supplying a control value between a controller output terminal and a control section input terminal via a measured value generator, and connecting the output terminal to an evaluating circuit. CONSTITUTION: A sensor G which receives a measured value (z) modulates an optical pulse y1 in an optical guide LWL. Since the separation of the modulated pulse signal z+y1 and the pulse y1 transmitted from a laser diode D is conducted by an optical switch W1 , a photodiode D3 at the input terminal of the control section S receives only the modulated signal. Then, a controller R generates a regulated value Y corresponding to the modulation of the signal, thereby compensating the modulation of the signal by following to the opposite operation of the transmitted signal at the section S. In this case, the regulated value Y represents the measured value received by the sensor G, and the value Y is processed by an evaluating circuit A.
