Abstract: PURPOSE: To achieve a high measurement accuracy by allowing a detector to have a portion for affecting brightness between a light emitting/receiving equipment and a reflector. CONSTITUTION: A measurement head has a scanning tip 2 as a detector of the shape and posture change of a mechanical part that is placed at a casing 1 so that it can be rocked. Also, to convert a mechanical measurement value into an electrical signal, a signal generator is provided in a casing 1, it consists of a light source and a light reception device that are mounted to the casing 1, and these mutually respond through a reflector 4. A light waveguide(LWL) is formed between the light source and the light receiving device. These are fixed to the casing 1 and have a lens 5 with a band-pass, namely the layer of a band-pass filter, for bringing a parallel luminous flux to an edge portion that is directed toward the reflector 4. Then, an edge portion further away from a measurement head is connected to the light source and the light reception device via an optical point, the change in light intensity at the LWL is converted into an electrical signal, and the signal is analyzed by a known method.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make it possible to detect a measurement signal adapted to an ultraprecise measurement by connecting a connector for supplying a control value between a controller output terminal and a control section input terminal via a measured value generator, and connecting the output terminal to an evaluating circuit. CONSTITUTION: A sensor G which receives a measured value (z) modulates an optical pulse y1 in an optical guide LWL. Since the separation of the modulated pulse signal z+y1 and the pulse y1 transmitted from a laser diode D is conducted by an optical switch W1 , a photodiode D3 at the input terminal of the control section S receives only the modulated signal. Then, a controller R generates a regulated value Y corresponding to the modulation of the signal, thereby compensating the modulation of the signal by following to the opposite operation of the transmitted signal at the section S. In this case, the regulated value Y represents the measured value received by the sensor G, and the value Y is processed by an evaluating circuit A.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To compensate the eccentricity of the support of a rotator by operating the adjustable support of the rotator using a control member that is operated after an actual value obtained by detecting the movement of the rotator is inputted. CONSTITUTION: Rolls 1 and 2 form a nip to be maintained constantly regardless of the shape and the support eccentricity between themselves. The edge part of the roll l is supported by a liquid pressure support 4 and slides across the axial line. Then, a detection device 9 outputs an electrical signal corresponding to an interval between rolls from mechanical detection elements 10 and 11 that contact the surfaces of the rolls 1 and 2. The output forms a compensation signal from a target value S for an interval signal and an interval by a control device 12 through an actual value input I. The compensation signal operates high-speed response servo valves 7 and 8 through a voltage/pressure converter 3. Then, pressure in a compartment 5 of the support 4 is adjusted via a hydraulic conduit 14, thus compensating for the shape and support eccentricity of the rolls 1 and 2 by the measurement of eccentricity and the succeeding quasi- simultaneous feedback.
