Abstract: A device for treating printing plates produced by photochemical methods, in particular made of photopolymerisable substances and having printing plates irradiated by active light, consisting of a housing for receiving a rinsing liquid, a driven cylinder which is mounted rotatably horizontally in the housing and lies partially below the level of the rinsing liquid for mounting the printing plates, and at least one brush roller running axially parallel to the cylinder and lying below or above the level of the rinsing liquid for removing unexposed picture areas of the printing plates, the brush rollers (5) being non-driven.
