Abstract: The process entails application of an aqueous dispersion which contains as binder a redispersed latex of an emulsion polymer onto the pharmaceutical preparation, and evaporation of the water at a temperature at which the latex particles form a film, and is characterised by using a polymer dispersion which has been prepared by emulsion polymerisation of one part by weight of at least one ethylenically unsaturated polymerisable monomer by means of initiators which provide free radicals in the presence of 0.1 to 2 parts by weight of saccharified starch, 0 to 5% by weight, based on the monomer or the monomers, of a surfactant and, where appropriate, other conventional additives, drying to a powder and redispersing in water.
