Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of recording magnetic signals on magnetic recording media containing an exchange-anisoptropic material at a temperature lower than, equal to or higher than the Neel temperature of this magnetic material. After the recording has been made, the magnetic recording medium is heated to a temperature equal to, or higher than, the Neel temperature, then cooled down to a temperature below the Neel temperature and the recording temperature, following which it is provided with an indicator which betrays re-heating. The method is suitable for the space-saving and, at the same time, authentic recording and storage of all data and images which are to be preserved without risk of falsification.

Abstract:
A tape cassette comprising at least one print-through echo-erasing device in the form of at least one appropriately shaped magnetic member made of permanent magnet material which is conveniently arranged on a tape guide element or near the apertures in the front wall of the cassette housing for the admission of scanning means. Such echo-erasing device can be used with advantage in any kind of magnetic tape cassette or cassette containing a recording medium having at least one magnetic track.

Abstract:
A cassette arrangement for a recording medium in strip or tape form, particularly a magnetic tape, for use with a recording and/or playback apparatus having drive means and scanning means, comprising two separate components, viz. an approximately rectangular cassette housing and a protective reel-holder, at least said housing being of a construction permitting opening and closing thereof. The cassette housing has openings for admitting the drive means and scanning means and, in one of the openings which is located adjacent the front of the housing, guide means for the recording medium, and also having means for receiving, when the housing is open, said reel-holder in a predetermined position. The reel-holder accommodates the hub or hubs on which the recording medium is wound to form a reel or reels, in a location or locations such as to permit, in cooperation with the receiving means, introduction of the reel(s) into the open cassette housing in the correct position for operation.
