Abstract: In batch exhaustion dyeing of cellulose textile material with indigo, reduced indigo is applied to the textile from a dyebath, which contains reducing agent, alkali and 200-350 g/l dissolved alkali metal salt as electrolyte and has a pH of 10.2-11.3, and re-oxidised on the fibres at the same high electrolyte concentration, then the dyeing is finished in the usual way.
