Abstract: A fabric, fleece or felt etc of predominantly synthetic fibres is impregnated with an aq. soln before, during, or after its consolidation with binders based on dissolved or dispersed polymers. The saq. soln contains pref. 7-25% polyethylene-imine; it also contains cross-linking agents with several functional gps. pref. to 2.5-10% of the wt of polyethylene-imine. The impregnated and consolidated material is dried at 80-160 degrees C with infra-red or hot air. The final prod. is suitable for shoes, garments or cushion covers.
