Abstract: Free-flowing ammonium chloride, resistant to agglomeration, stable in storage, and soluble in water without leaving a residue, is obtained by mixing NH4Cl particles with an amount of boron trioxide effective to inhibit agglomeration. There should be 1 mol. B2O3 for each mol. of residual water, and dry NH4Cl is mixed, by grinding with 0.001-0.8% B2O3 of size below 0.4 mm.
