    Abstract: 1319261 Breaking emulsions of mineral oils BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 12 Aug 1970 [13 Aug 1969] 38838/70 Heading C5E [Also in Division C3] Water-in-oil crude oil emulsions are broken by addition of as demulsifiers 0À0005 to 0À1% by weight of derivatives of a block polymer of ethylene oxide and 1,2-propylene oxide obtained by reacting said block polymer with a hydroxy carboxylic acid or an esterifiable function carboxylic acid derivative thereof optionally followed by polyoxyethylation or polyoxypropylation of free hydroxyl groups. Demulsification is preferably carried out at 40‹ to 80‹ C. using 1 to 10% by weight aqueous solutions of the said block polymer derivatives.

    Abstract: De-icing or anti-icing compositions for aircraft, essentially containing glycols, crosslinked polyacrylic acid, a nonionic surfactant composed of alkoxylated C10-C20-alcohols, corrosion inhibitors, a mixture of NaOH and KOH, an oxidation stabiliser and water. The compositions effect a smaller loss of lift owing to an improvement in the flow behaviour on the wings while maintaining a holdover time against refreezing of at least 30 min.

A glycol-based coolant mixture which is free of nitrites and phosphates, containing a) 1 - 5% by weight of an alkali metal salt of acid II see diagramm : EP0283806,P7,F1 where R is a -CH2 -, see diagramm : EP0283806,P7,F2 see diagramm : EP0283806,P7,F3 or CH2 CH2 CH2 group, b) 0.1 - 1% by weight of a silicate of the general formula III (MO)q SiO4-q/2 where M is an alkali metal and q is from 0.4 to 4, c) 0.01 - 0.2% by weight of a silicate stabilizer, d) 0 - 0.5% by weight of an alkali nitrate, e) 0.05 - 0.2% by weight of benzotriazole or tolutriazole, f) 0.5 - 2% by weight of borax, and g) 0.05 - 1% by weight of NaOH, all the percentages being based on the glycol present in the coolant mixture.
