Abstract: The invention relates to substituted (4-brompyrazole-3-yl)benzazoles of the formula and their salts, where Z is -N=C(XR6)-O- or -N=C(XR6)-S-, which via the nitrogen, oxygen or sulphur are bound to alpha; and X = a chemical bond, oxygen, sulphur, -S(O)-, -SO2-, -NH- or -(NR7)-. The invention also relates to the use of said substances as herbicides, notably for the desiccation/defoliation of plants. 11 claims
