Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing polymers which are water-soluble or water-dispersible or which, if they consist of monomers with neutralizable radicals, are water-soluble or water-dispersible in the neutralized form, by radically polymerizing a) ethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of b) silicone derivatives containing polyalkyleneoxide.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of an emulsion polymer in aqueous cosmetic compounds. The emulsion polymer is obtained by emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture (A) containing 50-100 wt.%, in relation to the monomer mixture, C1-C18 alkyl(meth)acrylates, vinylesters, vinyl aromatics or their mixtures, in the presence of a polymer (B). Said polymer (B) is composed of b1) 5-50 wt.% monomers with at least one ionic group, or group that can be converted to an ionic group, b2) 0-95 wt.% C1-C18 alkyl(meth)acrylates, vinylesters, vinyl aromatics or their mixtures, and b3) 0-50 wt.% other monomers. The glass transition temperature of the polymers obtained from monomer mixture (A) is lower than or equal to the glass transition temperature of polymer (B).
Abstract:
The invention concerns a process for preparing water-dispersible polymer blends comprising a polyamide and a second polymer by polymerizing an aqueous dispersion or solution consisting of a polyamide, one or a plurality of ethylenically unsaturated monomers, a polymerization initiator and optionally an emulsifier.
