Abstract: Apparatus with waterproofed surfaces for the production, processing, transport or storage of dispersions. These surfaces show a microstructure with elevations of 10 nm to 10 microns at a spacing of 20 nm to 10 microns (or similar grooves), or a macrostructure with average elevations of 10 microns to 1 mm at an average spacing of 10 microns to 1 mm. Independent claims are also included for: (1) The use of apparatus and parts of apparatus for the above applications, in which the special waterproofed surfaces show both a microstructure and a macrostructure as described; and (2) A method for the production, processing, transport or storage of dispersions, using apparatus with micro- or macro-structured surfaces as described above.
