Abstract: Method for treating flexible substrates comprises coating at least one outer surface with a mixture containing at least one organic polymer and at least one inorganic or organic nano- or microparticular material, optionally fixing and treating the coated and optionally fixed flexible substrate with at least one acidic substance or at least one organic solvent. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the treated flexible substrate obtained by the method; (2) a method for preparing clothing articles, fabrics and sitting furniture by using the treated flexible substrate; and (3) clothing articles, fabrics and sitting furniture prepared under the use of the treated flexible substrate.
