Abstract: Preparation of enol ethers (I) by reacting alcohols (II) with alkynes (IIIA) and/or alkadienes (IIIB) and is carried out in the presence of an alkali alcoholate and a polar aprotic solvent. Preparation of enol ethers of formula (I) by reacting alcohols of formula (II) with alkynes of formula (IIIA) and/or alkadienes of formula (IIIB) of the given formulae is carried out in the presence of an alkali alcoholate and a polar aprotic solvent. R1-R3 = H or an organic group containing carbon; and R4 = optionally substituted alkyl.
