Abstract:
A PROCESS FOR ACCELERATING POLYMERIZATION OF LACTAMS CARRIED OUT IN THE PRESENCE OF ALKALINE CATALYSTS AT TEMPERATURES OF FROM 80* TO 200*C. USING LACTAM-N-CARBOXYLIC ACID CARBAZOLAMIDES AS ACTIVATORS.
Abstract:
IN WHICH ONE X is chloro and the other X is hydrogen or each X is chloro; and WITH AIR OR OXYGEN OR WITH 10 TO 30% BY WEIGHT NITRIC ACID TO FORM THE CORRESPONDING CARBOXYLIC ACID FOLLOWED BY CYCLIZATION OF THE LATTER. 1-CHLOROANTHRAQUINONE-2,3-DICARBOXYLIC ANHYDRIDE OR 1,4-DICHLOROANTHRAQUINONE-2,3-DICARBOXYLIC ANHYDRIDE IS OBTAINED IN A GOOD YIELD. Each is a valuable dye intermediate.
A process for the production of an anthraquinone-2,3dicarboxylic anhydride bearing chlorine as a substituent in the 1-position or in the 1- and 4-positions by oxidation of a trimethyl compound of the formula:
Abstract:
The production of 3,6-dihalodiphenylalkanes by reaction of a diphenylalkane with a halogen and the novel 3,6dihalodiphenylalkanes themselves. The new compounds which can be prepared according to the process of the invention may be used as dispersing agents in dye/styrene mixtures and also as dyeing auxiliaries. They are also valuable starting materials for the production of dyes and pesticides.
Abstract:
1,4-DIAMINOANTHRAQUINONES BEARING IN POSITION 2 A 1,2,4OXADIAZOLE GROUP WHICH IS SUBSTITUTED IN POSITION 3 BY AN AROMATIC OR ALIPHATIC RADICAL. These anthraquinone derivatives are valuable blue disperse dyes for use in dyeing and printing synthetic textile materials.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of reactive dyes for dyeing hair. Said reactive dyes are of formula (I), wherein a represents 1 or 2, b represents 0 or 1, Y represents vinyl or a radical of formula C2H4Q, Q being a group which can be split off in alkaline reaction conditions, L represents a direct bond or a binding link of formula CO-NH-M which can be interrupted by 1 or 2 non-adjacent oxygen atoms, imino or C1-C4 alkylimino groups, M being C2-C6 alkylene, A represents hydroxysulfonyl or a radical of formula SO2Y, A represents hydrogen, hydroxysulfonyl, methoxy, chlorine, bromine or carboxyl, W represents 1) the radical of a coupling constituent, of a monoazo dye or additionally, when b=0, of a disazo dye, which can carry other reactive groups, or 2) the radical of a chromophore which optionally has other reactive groups, and L and L each represent a binding link. The invention also represents a method for dyeing hair, and cosmetic preparations for dyeing hair.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel reactive dyes of formula I, (I), in which the variable independently denote X hydrogen, NO2, or NR R , Y NR R , OR , SR , or SO2R or a group suitable as a leaving group under the conditions of nucleophilic, aromatic substitution, R to R independently hydrogen, C1-C8 alkyl, C2-C8 alkyl, in which non-adjacent CH2 groups can be replaced by oxygen atoms, imino groups, or C1-C4 alkylimino groups, and/or CH2 groups may be replaced by carbonyl groups, C2-C8 alkenyl, or a group containing an active site or the precursor of an active site, with the proviso that at least one group R to R is present which contains an active site or the precursor of an active site. The present invention also relates to the use of the reactive dyes of Formula I for dyeing substrates containing nucleophilic groups, and to compositions containing at least one reactive dye of formula I.
