Abstract:
The morpholine derivs. I (R1,R2,R3 = H, Me or Et) were prepd. for use as fungicides. Thus, 2,6-di-Me morpholine was sepd. into 75 % cis- and 25% trans 2,6-dimethyl morpholine, and each isomer was treated with 4-Me3CC6H4CH2CHMeCHO in HCOO2H to give cis- and trans- I. A 0.006 % soln. of these compds. gave 100 % control of Erysiphe graminis on barley.

A fungicide for protecting wood comprising an aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide, a metal hydroxide forming hydroxo anions, and an alkali metal salt of ammonium salt of N-nitroso-Ncyclohexylhydroxylamine, and a process for protecting wood against fungus attack by treatment with this fungicide.
