Abstract:
The invention relates to ferromagnetic chromium dioxide crystals which are particularly suitable as magnetic pigments for magnetic recording media and which are stabilized by sparingly watersoluble metal compounds whose cations form sparingly watersoluble metal chromates (such as lead hydroxide, barium phosphate, lead silicate and calcium sulfate) applied to, and particularly precipitated onto, the surface thereof, and to a process for their production.
Abstract:
The invention relates to ferromagnetic chromium dioxide crystals which are particularly suitable as magnetic pigments for magnetic recording media and whose surface, for the purpose of stabilization, is protected with antimony or arsenic compounds which are sparingly soluble in water, and to a process for the production of chromium dioxide crystals thus stabilized by the precipitation of antimony or arsenic compounds which are sparingly soluble in water.
Abstract:
Wood preservatives for protecting wood or wood-base materials against animal pests, and which contain a perfluoroalkane sulfonate of the formula C nF2n+1-SO3 M where n is one of the integers from 1-14 and M denotes hydrogen or a cation, and a process for protecting wood or wood-base materials against animal pests with these compounds.
