Abstract: 1296778 Knitted fabrics; tufted carpets BADISCHE ANILIN-& SODA FABRIK AG 17 April 1970 [18 April 1969] 18369/70 Headings D1B and D1K Nylon fabrics for differential dyeing contain yarns spun from a melt incorporating oxyalkyiated polyamide; the fabrics also contain yarns of unmodified nylon and/or nylon modified by incorporating basic terminal groups and/or nylon incorporating sulphonate terminal groups. In an Example, a shepherd's check stocking is knitted from three yarns: nylon 6; nylon 6 modified by basic groups; and nylon 6 modified by oxyalkylate. The yarns are dyed pale red, blue, and dark red respectively. In another Example, yarns of nylon 6 and nylon 6 modified by oxyethylate are tufted into a twillwoven jute base fabric. The dyes employed may be acid, basic or disperse dyes, multicolour and tone in tone effects being obtained.
