Abstract: A pigment preparation in pellet form, where organic pigment particles are coated with an acidic resin comprising a mixture of free resin acid and resin soap. Also claimed is: (i) a process to produce the pigment comprising coating organic pigment particles, suspended in an aqueous medium, with a mixture of free resin acid and resin soap, collecting the resin-coated pigment on a filter means, pelletising the moist filter cake via a pelletising die and drying the pellets; and (ii) printing inks pigmented by the pigment.

Abstract: A process and assembly to remove a substance from a container, the contents of which are unsuitable for pumping in their received state. The novelty is that (a) a fluid is introduced into the upper interior space within the container where it mixes with the contents to produce a solid-liquid mixture which may be pumped; (b) the mixture of liquid and solid are pumped from the container; (c) the introduction of the fluid to the container, and pumping of liquid and solid from the container, continues until all the solids have been removed. The container is closed by a lid containing a fluid inlet and an outlet for fluid and solid. The container incorporates a mixing device which may be raised and lowered within the container.
