Abstract: Stereo- and regioselective alkoxylation method comprises alkoxylating initiator molecules with one or more active hydrogen atoms with racemic epoxide to polyetherol with a portion of isotactic triads of greater than 40% and a regio irregular portion of less than 20%, in the presence of a catalyst, which is organotin phosphate that is obtained by reacting organotin halogenide and/or organotin oxide with (poly)phosphoric acid ester. Independent claims are included for: (1) use of isotactic polyetherol, with a portion of isotactic triad of greater than 40% and a regioirregular portion of less than 20%, for producing polyurethane; and (2) polyurethane obtained by reacting the isotactic polyetherol with one or more polyisocyanate.
