Abstract:
The invention relates to fuel additive compositions for internal combustion engines and to fuels that contain the corresponding additives for internal combustion engines. The inventive fuel additive compositions for internal combustion engines have an excellent performance in keeping the inlet system clean and improved viscosity properties, especially at low temperatures.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to polyalkene amine formulations comprising at least one polyalkene amine in a solvent, having improved performance properties, especially improved low temperature properties; a process for preparing such formulations and the use of these formulations in fuel and lubricant compositions, in particular fuels, for improving the intake system-cleaning action of such fuels.
Abstract:
The invention relates to gasoline fuel additive packets and fuel to which these have been added and which are intended for gasoline engines, the novel gasoline fuel additive packets having improved viscosity properties, especially at low temperatures, in addition to very good performance in keeping the intake system clean.
Abstract:
The invention relates to fuel compositions for internal combustion engines comprising a main quantity of a liquid hydrocarbon fuel and a pure portion of at least one propoxilate additive of formula (I), wherein n is an integer ranging from 14 to 18, and R1 represents a straight-chain or branched C8-C18 alkyl radical or C8-C18 alkenyl radical; optionally in combination with at least one detergent additive such as, for example, a polyalkylamine of formula (II), R2-NH2, wherein R2 represents a straight-chain or branched polyalkyl radical having a numerical average molecular weight ranging from approximately 500 to approximately 5000. The invention also relates to fuel additive compositions, which contain propoxilates of formula (I) and optionally contain additional additives such as said polyalkylamines of formula (II) used as intake valve cleaners.
Abstract:
A gasoline-based fuel composition with a sulfur content of not more than 150 ppm containing small amounts of fuel additive(s) (I) with a detergent or valve seat wear-inhibiting action, in which (I) contain hydrophobic hydrocarbon residue(s) with a number-average mol. wt. of 85-20000 and a polar group and the composition also contains 5-75 vol% lower alkanol(s). An independent claim is also included for a method for improving the efficacy of detergent or valve seat wear-inhibitor additives in low-sulfur fuel by adding a lower alcohol.
