Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for producing a polyisocyanate addition polymerized product having increased resistance to heat distortion, especially a thermoplastic polyisocyanate addition polymerized product (thermoplastic polyurethane, also called as TPU). SOLUTION: This thermoplastic polyurethane is obtained by reacting (a) isocyanate with (b) a compound reactive to the isocyanate and having a molecular weight of 451-8,000 in the presence of (c) a chain extender and further (d) a crosslinking agent and (e) a catalyst and/or (f) a usual auxiliary and/or an additive, as necessary. As the extender, 1,3-and/or 1,2-propane diol is used. Furthermore, the reaction is performed under the condition of >=104 isocyanate index [(a real amount of the isocyanate/a total amount of diisocyanate group theoretically required to completely the whole OH group)×100].

Abstract: Linear, unbranched oligo- and polyurethanes are prepared by reaction of a diisocyanate with compounds having two isocyanate reactive groups, of differing reactivity such that only certain functional groups react. Linear, unbranched oligo- and polyurethanes (I) are prepared by reaction of (A) 1 mole of a diisocyanate with (B) 1 mole of compounds having two isocyanate reactive groups whereby the functional groups of (A) and./or (B) have a different reactivity wit respect to the functional groups of the other reaction partners and the reaction conditions are chosen such that only certain functional groups of (A) and (B) react with each other.
