    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing paper with a high substance weight. According to said method, a paper material is dewatered on a screen in the presence of a combination of at least two polymers that act as a retention and dewatering agent system, forming sheets, which are then dried. The sheet formation takes place without the use of fine-particled inorganic flocculants and (a) at least one polymer containing amino groups and (b) at least one branched cationic polyacrylamide are used as the retention and dewatering agent.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing paper sheets having a basis weight of at least 300 g/m2, said process comprising draining a paper pulp comprising waste paper on a wire, forming of the sheets and drying the sheets, wherein the draining of the paper pulp on the wire and the forming the sheets is carried out in the presence of a retention and drainage aid system which is a combination of at least two polymers as sole retention and drainage aids and which consists of: component (a): at least one amino-containing polymer, wherein the amino containing polymer is a polyethylenimine or a modified polyethylenimide obtained by reacting a polyamidoamine compound with a polyalkylene oxide derivative whose terminal hydroxyl groups have been reacted with epichlorohydrin, and component (b): at least one cationic polyacrylamide consisting of either at least one branched cationic polyacrylamide having an ionic regain greater than 20% or at least one branched cationic polyacrylamide having an ionic regain greater than 20% in combination with a linear polyacrylamide.
