Abstract: The film is coated with a paper-coating material consisting of 100 parts pigment with 20 to 100 parts of a binder, in which the binder is a co-polymer of an acrylic or methacrylic acid ester, an unsaturated carboxylic acid and, opt. other vinyl monomers. The coating is suitable for application to any of the usual styrene polymers, esp. polystyrene or styrene -acrylonitrile co-polymer modified with rubber for improved impact-resistance. Adhesion of the coating to the film is good and ageing is better than that of polybutadiene coatings, with less yellowing and embrittlement.
