    Abstract: The process is used to determine the high frequency limiting value of the dynamic storage modulus of dispersions of charged colloidal particles. The determination is carried out at a given dispersive medium viscosity. The medium may include electrolyte solutions, emulsions and optionally soluble polymers with given volume concentrations of dispersed particles. A torsion resonator is oscillated at given frequency and the damping is measured. The dynamic storage modulus is determined solely from the damping, caused by the dispersion immediately surrounding the resonator. Also claimed are corresponding devices for measuring the cited modulus, the use of the signal developed in process control, and several related processes and devices for determining the surface charge of dispersion particles at given viscosity of the dispersant.
