[Also in Division A5] The invention relates to substituted ureidophenyl phenyl carbamates of the general formula in which R 1 denotes a phenyl radical which may be substituted by halogen, nitro, methoxy, carboxy, lower alkyl or lower haloalkyl, or a cycloaliphatic radical having 3 to 8 carbon atoms in the cycloaliphatic ring which may be substituted by halogen or alkyl and R 2 , R 3 , R 4 and R 5 denote hydrogen, a phenyl radical, or a lower saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon radical which may be substituted by halogen, the term " lower alkyl " denoting an alkyl radical having 1 to 4 carbon atoms. The compounds may be prepared by treating a N - (m-hydroxyphenyl) - N 1 - substituted urea with a carbamyl halide R 1 R 2 NCOX wherein X is halogen. Compounds in which R 2 is hydrogen may be prepared by treating a N-(m-hydroxyphenyl)-N 1 substituted urea with an isocyanate R 1 NCO. The intermediate N-(m-hydroxyphenyl)-N 1 substituted ureas may be prepared by reacting a m-aminophenol with the appropriate carbamyl halides preferably chloride, in the presence of agents binding hydrogen halide, or with appropriate isocyanates. Compounds claimed per se are m-(methylureido) - phenyl N - m - methylphenyl - carbamate and m-(3,3-dimethylureido)-phenyl N-p-chlorophenyl carbamate. In an example, dimethyl carbamyl chloride is reacted with m-aminophenol to produce N-(m-hydroxyphenyl)-N 1 ,N 1 -dimethylurea which is reacted with p-chlorophenyl isocyanate to produce m - (3,3 - dimethylureido) - phenyl N -p - chlorophenyl carbamate.

[Also in Division A5] The invention comprises a complex of 1 mol. zinc salt of ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamic acid and 1 mol. ammonia. The complex is preferably made by reacting an aqueous solution of a zinc salt with a water-soluble salt of ethylenebis-dithiocarbamic acid in the presence of about 1 mol. ammonia per mol. zinc salt. The complex can also be prepared by removing 1 mol. ammonia from the known complex of 1 mol. zinc salt of ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamic acid and 2 mol. ammonia by acidification or by stirring an aqueous suspension of the zinc salt of ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate with aqueous ammonia. The complex is used as a fungicide (see Division A5).
