Abstract: FIELD: organic chemistry, herbicides. SUBSTANCE: invention describes composition designated for application as herbicide and comprising effective amount of chloroacetamide herbicide as herbicide active component and substance reducing precipitation temperature of chloroacetamides that represents at least one compound of the formula: wherein R1 means chlorine atom or methoxy-group; R2 means hydrogen or halogen atom. This composition comprises chloroacetamide herbicide taken in the concentration at least about 40 mole % and substance reducing precipitation temperature is taken in the amount sufficient to provide preparing chloroacetamide-free composition at temperature lower by about 10 C. Invention describes also method for preparing dimetheneamide composition that is stable at low temperature. EFFECT: improved preparing method, valuable properties of composition. 8 cl, 4 tbl, 1 dwg

Abstract: A composition suitable as a herbicide comprises at least about a 40 mole percent concentration of a chloroacetamide herbicide and a chloroacetamide precipitation temperature-lowering agent. The precipitation temperature-lowering agent is present in a sufficient quantity that the composition is substantially free from solid chloroacetamide at a temperature less than 100C and has the formula (I) wherein R1 is chlorine or methoxy, and R2 is hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl or alkyl ether. The chloroacetamide herbicide can be alachlor, metolachlor, acetochlor, metazachlor, diethatyl, propachlor or a thiophenamine.
