    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an extremely thin magnetic layer and nonmagnetic layer and, at the same time, partial layer by supplying a plurality of kinds of layer forming dispersions to a plurality of discharge orifices from tanks and applying the dispersions to a flexible sheet running on the facing bearing surfaces of rotating rolls. SOLUTION: A flexible sheet 2 runs in the direction shown by the arrow on the bearing surfaces 22 of a rotating roll 5 and coating roll 5 in the zone of a coater block 1. Firstly, the interval between discharge orifices 6 and 7 and the substrate sheet 2 is set at a relatively large value and dispersions are supplied to coater slots 3 and 4 from each tank 16 and 17. When the formation of an upper layer 8 and lower layer 9 is started on the sheet 2, the thickness of the layers 8 and 9 are adjusted to desired values by adjusting the interval between the block 1 and a block part 13. The layer forming dispersions flow in parallel in the length directions of the orifices 6 and 7 from the tanks 16 and 17. The flow velocities of the dispersions are adjusted by means of throttle valves 18 and 19 connected to supply pipes from the tanks 16 and 17.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a layer of 1μm thick or less by disposing a rectangular prism magnet such that lines of magnetic force pass through a block having upper surface extending in parallel with the outlet opening of a molding slit substantially perpendicularly to the flowing direction of magnetic dispersion liquid. SOLUTION: A nonmagnetic carrying layer 4 runs in the direction of arrow in the vicinity of outlet opening 7 of an extrusion molder having upper and lower blocks 3, 1, and a molding slit 2 made between. At the outlet opening, a magnetic dispersion liquid is squeezed, under pressure, from a storage container onto the carrying layer through the slit. A rectangular prism magnet 8 is disposed having field strength at least equal to the coercive force of fine magnetic powder flowing through the molding slit 2 in parallel with the upper plane 12 of lower block 1 while spaced apart by about 2 mm from the lower half part. The magnet is polarized such that the lines of magnetic force pass substantially perpendicularly to the magnetic layer forming direction of magnetic dispersion liquid.
