Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a magnetic recording medium which has sufficient sensitivity to high-density information recording when the magnetically anisotropic particles of the recording medium is subjected to probabilistic orientation and to provide the recording medium which is easily and rapidly adaptive to various kinds of processing parameters with respect to the used dispersion and the mode of coating. CONSTITUTION: Many magnets are arranged on the peripheral surface 6 of a magnetic drum 3 in such a manner that their polarities are alternated. The magnetic fields of these magnets are acted on the dispersion 2 by rotating the magnetic drum 3.
