Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing fine-particle dispersions of a chemical compound which is poorly soluble in a dispersant, by the turbulent intermixing of at least two liquid flows described as medium A and medium B, of which at least the liquid flow described as medium A contains the chemical compound to be dispersed or a precursor thereof, in a mixing device provided with at least two inlets and an outlet. The liquid flows are supplied in such a way that the angle between the longitudinal axes of a volume flow of medium A and a volume flow of medium B is between 10° and 170°, and the volume flows have different surface cross-sections.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods for the production of surface-modified, nanoparticulate particles of at least one metal oxide, metal hydroxide and/or metal oxyhydroxide and of aqueous suspensions of said particles. The invention also relates to the surface-modified, nanoparticulate particles of at least one metal oxide, metal hydroxide and/or metal oxyhydroxide and to the aqueous suspensions of said particles which can be obtained by these methods and their use for cosmetic sunscreen preparations, as stabilisers in plastics and as active antimicrobial active substance.
Abstract:
Abstract 5 A process for extracting hydrocarbons from oil sand, in which the oil sand is treated in a separation apparatus in at least one process step with a composition which comprises water and a hydrophobin and if appropriate further assistants, leads to an improved yield of hydrocarbons.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods of producing surface-modified nanoparticulate particles at least of one metal oxide, metal hydroxide and/or metal oxide hydroxide, and aqueous suspensions of these particles. Furthermore, the invention relates to the surface-modified nanoparticulate particles, obtainable by these methods, at least of one metal oxide, metal hydroxide and/or metal oxide hydroxide and aqueous suspensions of these particles, and to their use for cosmetic sunscreen preparations, as stabilizer in plastics and as antimicrobial active ingredient.
