The present invention provides a method for producing copper salt particles, comprising turbulent mixing of a stream 1 of an aqueous solution of copper ions (solution 1), and of a stream 2 of an aqueous solution of at least one anion which is not hydroxide and forms a precipitate with copper ions (solution 2), at least one of the solutions 1 and 2 comprising a water-soluble polymer. Additionally provided is a method for controlling phytopathogenic microorganisms by treating crops to be protected, soil or plant reproduction material or inanimate industrial materials with an effective amount of copper salt particles produced in accordance with the aforementioned production methods.

Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Bekämpfung von pflanzenpathogenen Mikroorganismen indem man die zu schützende Kulturpflanze, den Boden oder das pflanzliche Vermehrungsmaterial mit einer wirksamen Menge von Kupfersalz-Partikeln behandelt, die ein wasserlösliches Polymer enthalten und die einen primären Teilchendurchmesser von 1 bis 200 nm haben. Die Erfindung betrifft auch eine wässrige Suspension der vorgenannten Kupfersalz-Partikel und die Verwendung dieser Suspension im Pflanzenschutz.

The present invention relates to a method for controlling phytopathogenic microorganisms by treating the crop to be protected, the soil or the plant propagation material with an effective amount of copper salt particles which comprise a water- soluble polymer and which have a primary particle diameter of from 1 to 200 nm. The invention also relates to an aqueous suspension of the abovementioned copper salt particles and the use of this suspension in crop protection.
