Abstract: In a batch process, polyamides based on dicarboxylic acids and diamines are prepared by 1) metering the total amount of monomer composed of dicarboxylic acids, diamines and optionally further polyamide-forming monomers in the desired stoichiometry in a closed stirred tank reactor, 2) heating the monomer mixture in the stirred tank reactor with establishment of a particular pressure to a desired reaction temperature for preparing a prepolymer, 3) optionally completely or partly decompressing the reaction mixture from stage 2) for pressure release, 4) optionally further thermally converting the reaction mixture from stage 2) or 3), 5) converting the reaction mixture from stage 2), 3) or 4) in the melt in a vented extruder for further increase in the molecular weight with discharge of steam and without addition of additional polyamide-forming monomers or polyamides.

Abstract: Procedimiento en lote para la fabricación de poliamidas a base de ácidos dicarboxílicos y diaminas mediante 1) dosificación de la cantidad total de monómeros de ácidos dicarboxílicos C4-C20 terminales alifáticos lineales, diaminas C4-C20 terminales alifáticas y dado el caso lactamas en la estequiometría deseada en un reactor de recipiente cerrado con agitación, 2) calentamiento de la mezcla de monómeros en el reactor de recipiente con agitación agitado, ajustando una presión determinada hasta una temperatura de reacción deseada, para la fabricación de un prepolímero, en la que la reacción en la etapa 2) ocurre a una temperatura en el intervalo de 70 a 350°C y una presión máxima en el intervalo de 3 a 100 bar y la reacción termina en el reactor de recipiente con agitación después de un rendimiento en el intervalo de 50 a 97 %, referido a los grupos amino y carboxilo, en el cual el número de viscosidad del prepolímero está en el intervalo de 3 a 200 ml/g, determinado mediante viscosimetría en solución, en la que se disolvieron las muestras de poliamida en ácido sulfúrico 96 ±0,1 %, para preparar una solución de polímero al 0,5 % en peso y en el que se determinaron el tiempo de ciclo del solvente y de la solución de polímero a 25 ± 0,05 °C de baño de temperatura, en un viscosímetro Ubbelohde, 5) transformación de la mezcla de reacción de la etapa 2), en el estado fundido en un extrusor de desgasificación para el aumento adicional de peso molecular, con descarga de vapor de agua y sin adición de monómeros adicionales formadores de poliamida o poliamidas, a una temperatura en el intervalo de 120 a 370 °C y una presión en el intervalo de 0,01 a 20 bar, en la que la mezcla de reacción de la etapa 2) es conducida directamente al extrusor de desgasificación en la etapa 5) y se operan de manera alternante dos o más reactores de recipiente con agitación conectados de modo paralelo, cuyos productos de reacción son alimentados de manera alternante al extrusor de desgasificación.
