Abstract: The invention relates to a biodegradable polyester film, containing: i) 75 to 100 wt %, relative to the total weight of components i to ii, of a biodegradable polyester based on aliphatic and/or aromatic dicarboxylic acids and an aliphatic dihydroxy compound; ii) 0 to 25 wt %, relative to the total weight of components i to ii, of polylactic acid; iii) 10 to 25 wt %, relative to the total weight of components i to v, of calcium carbonate; iv) 3 to 15 wt %, relative to the total weight of components i to v, of talc; v) 0 to 1 wt %, relative to the total weight of components i to v, of a copolymer containing epoxide groups and based on styrene, acrylic acid ester, and/or methacrylic acid ester; vi) 0 to 2 wt %, relative to the total weight of components i to v, of 2-(4,6-bis-biphenyl-4-yl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-5-(2-ethyl-(n)-hexyloxy)phenol.

Abstract: Biodegradable polyester film comprises: (a) 75-100 wt.% of a biodegradable polyester based on aliphatic and/or aromatic dicarboxylic acids and an aliphatic dihydroxy compound; (b) 0-25 wt.% of polylactic acid; (c) 10-25 wt.% of calcium carbonate; (d) 3-15 wt.% of talc; (e) 0-1 wt.% of an epoxy-containing copolymer based on styrene, acrylic acid esters and/or methacrylic acid ester; and (f) 0-2 wt.% of 2-(4,6-bis-biphenyl-4-yl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)-5-(2-ethyl-(n)-hexyloxy)phenol. Independent claims are included for: (1) a master batch containing 75-95 wt.% of the component (a), and the component (b), and 5-25 wt.% of the component (f); and (2) producing mulch film comprising 75-100 wt.% of the component (a), 0-25 wt.% of the component (b), 0-25 wt.% of the component (c), 0-15 wt.% of the component (d), 0-1 wt.% of component (e) and 0.1-1.5 wt.% the component (f).
