Abstract: The invention relates to a centrifugal mist eliminator for separating liquid droplets from a gas stream, comprising: - a shell (1), which has a circular cross-section and a vertical longitudinal axis (11); - a an upper hood (2), which delimits the shell (1) at the top and has a gas outlet connecting piece (7) for the gas stream purified in the centrifugal mist eliminator; - a drip plate (8), which is disposed below the gas outlet connecting piece (7); - a lower hood (10), which delimits the shell (1) at the bottom and which has a liquid outlet connecting piece (4) for discharging the separated liquid droplets; and - an inlet (3) for feeding the gas stream, the inlet leading tangentially into the shell (1); the centrifugal mist eliminator being characterized in that at least two nozzles (9) for feeding a stabilizer liquid into the interior of the centrifugal mist eliminator are provided, the nozzle outlet (15) of each nozzle being disposed between the tangential inlet (3) and the drip plate (8) in the vertical direction, and the main spray direction (12) of the nozzles (9) being directed upward at an interior angle of 0 to 60° to the vertical longitudinal axis (11). The invention also relates to a method for separating liquid droplets from a gas stream in a centrifugal mist eliminator of this type.

Abstract: Un proceso para la preparación continua de éster ter-butílico de un ácido carboxílico etilénicamente insaturado, que comprende: a) hacer reaccionar un ácido carboxílico etilénicamente insaturado con isobuteno en presencia de un catalizador ácido para obtener una mezcla de esterificación; b) remover el catalizador ácido; c) remover los componentes de bajo punto de ebullición; y d) proporcionar un líquido que contiene éster ter-butílico a un aparato de destilación y someterlo a destilación de purificación en el aparato de destilación, en donde: d1) en el aparato de destilación el líquido que comprende éster t-butílico es separado en un producto superior gaseoso que contiene éster t-butílico y un producto líquido de la parte inferior que comprende ácido carboxílico; d2) el producto superior gaseoso que comprende éster t-butílico es condensado por lo menos parcialmente y el condensado se recicla por lo menos parcialmente como reflujo al aparato de destilación; d3) el producto líquido de la parte inferior que contiene ácido carboxílico es reciclado por lo menos parcialmente a la etapa a); d4) el producto líquido de la parte inferior que comprende ácido carboxílico es extraído y transferido a un calentador; una corriente de reciclado líquida, sobrecalentada, es extraída del calentador; y la corriente de reciclado sobrecalentada se ingresa en el aparato de destilación; y d5) por lo menos en la región superior del aparato de destilación, las paredes del aparato de destilación que se hallen en contacto con el vapor, por lo menos en subregiones, son calentadas y/o térmicamente aisladas. En el desarrollo del proceso, la separación del éster t-butílico con respecto al ácido carboxílico no reaccionado se lleva a cabo en un nivel particularmente bajo de polimerización que acompaña tanto al éster t-butílico como al ácido carboxílico.

The separation of the tert-butyl ester from unreacted carboxylic acid in the process proceeds with a particularly small extent of polymerization both of the tert-butyl ester and of the carboxylic acid.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for continuously producing the tert-butyl ester of an aliphatic C1-C4 carboxylic acid comprising a) reacting an aliphatic C1-C4 carboxylic acid with isobutene in the presence of an acidic catalyst in order to form an esterification mixture (G1); b) partially evaporating the esterification mixture (G1), whereby a liquid first high-boiler phase (SPh1) containing the acidic catalyst and a first exhaust vapor (B1) containing tert-butyl ester are obtained; c) condensing the first exhaust vapor (B1) in a fractionating manner by partially condensing the first exhaust vapor (B1) at a first pressure and a first temperature and obtaining a first condensate (K1), partially condensing the non-condensed second exhaust vapor (B2) at a second pressure and a second temperature and obtaining a second condensate (K2), wherein the first temperature lies 0 to 45 °C below the condensation temperature of the tert-butyl ester at the first pressure and the second temperature lies 45 to 80 °C below the condensation temperature of the tert-butyl ester at the second pressure, with the stipulation that the second temperature lies at least 5 °C below the first temperature; and d) combining the first condensate (K1) and the second condensate (K2) and feeding the first and second condensates to a joint processing operation, and feeding the third exhaust vapor (B3), which is not condensed at the second temperature, back to step a). The method allows the tert-butyl ester of an aliphatic C1-C4 carboxylic acid to be produced by reacting the carboxylic acid with isobutene, wherein unreacted isobutene is isolated from the esterification mixture in an energetically favorable manner and with an improved degree of separation.

Abstract: Ein Verfahren zur kontinuierlichen Herstellung des tert-Butylesters einer aliphatischen C1-C4-Carbonsäure umfasst a) die Umsetzung einer aliphatischen C1-C4-Carbonsäure mit Isobuten in Gegenwart eines sauren Katalysators zu einem Veresterungsgemisch (G1); b) die partielle Verdampfung des Veresterungsgemischs (G1), wodurch man eine den sauren Katalysator enthaltende flüssige erste Schwersiederphase (SPh1), und einen tert-Butylester enthaltenden ersten Brüden (B1) erhält; c) die fraktionierende Kondensation des ersten Brüdens (B1), indem man den ersten Brüden (B1) bei einem ersten Druck und einer ersten Temperatur partiell kondensiert und ein erstes Kondensat (K1) erhält, den nicht kondensierten zweiten Brüden (B2) bei einem zweiten Druck und einer zweiten Temperatur partiell kondensiert und ein zweites Kondensat (K2) erhält, wobei die erste Temperatur 0 bis 45 °C unterhalb der Kondensationstemperatur des tert-Butylesters beim ersten Druck liegt und die zweite Temperatur 45 bis 80 °C unterhalb der Kondensationstemperatur des tert-Butylesters beim zweiten Druck liegt, mit der Maßgabe, dass die zweite Temperatur mindestens 5 °C unterhalb der ersten Temperatur liegt; und d) die Vereinigung des ersten Kondensats (K1) und des zweiten Kondensats (K2) und die Zufuhr zu einer gemeinsamen Aufarbeitung, und die Zurückführung des bei der zweiten Temperatur nicht kondensierten dritten Brüden (B3) in den Schritt a). Das Verfahren erlaubt die Herstellung des tert-Butylesters einer aliphatischen C1-C4-Carbonsäure durch Umsetzung der Carbonsäure mit Isobuten, wobei nicht umgesetztes Isobuten energetisch günstig und mit einem verbesserten Abtrennungsgrad aus dem Veresterungsgemisch isoliert wird.
