Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production of aqueous formulati ons (A), comprising at least one acid group and/or salts of acid group-carry ing polyaromatic compounds and aqueous formulations (A), produced according to the inventive method. The invention further relates to a method for the p roduction of dried formulations (B) by removing the water from the aqueous f ormulations (A) and to the dried formulations (B). Furthermore, the inventio n relates to a formulation (C) comprising the inventive dried formulation (B ) and water, or an aqueous formulation (A) and a water-containing formulatio n (D) comprising the inventive aqueous formulation (A) or the inventive form ulation (C) and additionally at least 2 wt.% of an organic solvent. The inve ntion further relates to dry formulations (E), obtained from the inventive a queous formulations (D) by removing water. And it relates to the use of the inventive aqueous formulations (D) and the dry formulations (E) obtained the reof for the production of a polymer electrolyte membrane and the polymer el ectrolyte membrane and a membrane electrode unit (MEA) and a fuel cell, comp rising the inventive polymer electrolyte membrane.
